Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) has extended the last date for admissions into merit-based programmes for the academic year 2026-27 to June 14, 2026. The decision comes after the university received multiple representations from stakeholders across the country requesting additional time to complete their application process.
According to Prof. Syed Imtiyaz Hassan, Director of the Directorate of Admissions, the university administration has granted a four-day extension to accommodate prospective students. The move aims to ensure that interested candidates from various parts of India have sufficient opportunity to apply for the programmes offered by the university.
The university is offering admissions in various postgraduate courses, including a full-time PG Diploma in Teaching English and several part-time PG Diploma programmes. Additionally, diploma programmes and certificate programmes are available for students seeking specialized training in different fields.
For the current academic year, MANUU has introduced several new courses to expand its academic offerings. The university has launched three new postgraduate courses: M.Sc. in Industrial Chemistry, M.Sc. in Bioinformatics, and M.A. in Film Making (offered in self-finance mode). Two new PG Diploma programmes have also been added, including PG Diploma in Alternative Dispute Resolution and PG Diploma in Cyber Law and Digital Governance.
