With the increase in Covid-19 cases, private schools in Hyderabad are taking safety precautions. They are advising parents to ensure that their children wear face masks and use hand sanitizers in the classrooms. Some schools are also asking parents not to send their children if they are unwell, to prevent the spread of infection to others.

To maintain safety, schools are checking students’ temperatures at the gate and sending those with high temperatures back home. They are also planning to set up health camps every 15 days in collaboration with Primary Health Centers.

In addition to wearing masks and maintaining hand hygiene, schools are also implementing safety measures in school buses. The Telangana Recognized School Management Association (TRSMA) is ensuring that safety protocols are followed. Regular handwashing is mandatory, and teachers are sensitizing students about personal hygiene. TRSMA plans to conduct health checkups every month in their schools and extend it to all private schools by collaborating with a private health service provider.
