A “Poshan Maah” (Nutrition Month) event took place in Medikonda village. During the program, several activities were organized to promote health and nutrition. These activities included Annaprasana, which is the first feeding ceremony for infants, and Aksharabhyasam, an initiation into education. There was also an awareness session on the importance of nutritious food, and special celebrations were held for expectant mothers.
The event was attended by several important community members. CDPO Nagarani, Supervisor Venkateshwaramma, ZPHS Headmaster Thimmareddy, and PS Headmaster Raja Shekhar Reddy were present. In addition, teachers, Anganwadi teachers, ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife), ASHA workers, pregnant women, new mothers, and mothers of young children participated in the program.
The event was aimed at raising awareness about the importance of nutrition, especially for young children and expectant mothers, as part of the larger “Poshan Maah” initiative to improve health and well-being in the community.
