Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi stated that it is important to evaluate what Telangana has gained and lost in the past 10 years. She believes that the state has lost more than it has gained. Lekhi expressed her concerns during a media address.

According to Lekhi, Telangana was initially a surplus state after the division of Andhra Pradesh. However, it is now facing a significant amount of debt. She also mentioned that many schemes launched in Telangana were used for fraudulent purposes instead of being implemented properly.

The minister criticized the government for favoring one section of society while discriminating against others. Lekhi specifically mentioned the reservations for Muslims, stating that it goes against the Constitution.
