Telangana’s Chief Minister Revanth Reddy held a meeting on Wednesday, July 30, with Congress in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan and TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud. They talked about key issues like party formation, an upcoming walking campaign, and the ongoing fight for Backward Classes (BC) reservations in Delhi.
The Congress party plans to start a walking campaign from July 31 to August 4 as part of their efforts to connect with people. After this, a significant three-day event will take place in Delhi on August 5, 6, and 7 to push for the approval of the 42 percent BC reservation bills.
On August 5, party MPs might propose an adjournment motion to start a discussion in both houses of Parliament. A protest is set for August 6 at Jantar Mantar. Chief Minister Reddy, along with cabinet members, MLAs, MLCs, and BC leaders, will join. The Congress plans to meet with the President on August 7 to present a memorandum of their demands.
To strengthen their presence, 50 Congress workers from each constituency will head to Delhi using a special train. After these events in the capital, the Congress walking campaign will continue as scheduled across Telangana.
