An emergency meeting took place at the District Government Hospital in Gadwal. Dr. S.K. Siddappa, the District Medical & Health Officer, and Medical Superintendent Dr. Indira led the discussion to enhance medical services for the community.
Dr. Siddappa outlined several important actions for hospital staff and health officials:
– Increase the number of births at the government hospital. Minimize referrals to the Kurnool Government Hospital. Only refer critical cases to Mahabubnagar Government Hospital when necessary.
– Communicate politely and respectfully with patients to boost their experience.
– Ensure a sufficient supply of all medicines at the hospital.
– Provide timely care for pregnant women to prevent maternal and infant deaths. Focus on high-risk pregnancies and offer postnatal care for 42 days after birth.
– Conduct tubectomy operations every Monday and Thursday for new mothers as part of family planning services.
– Offer consistent access to palliative care, TD Hub services, and mental health support.
– Deliver prompt and effective medical attention to all patients visiting the hospital.
The meeting was attended by key program officers like Dr. Tanveer Rizwan, Dr. Prasoonarani, Dr. Sandhya Kiran Mai, Dr. Chaitanya Jyothi, Dr. Vamshi, and Dr. Chaitanya, along with health staff members K. Madhusudan Reddy, Narendra Babu, T. Varalakshmi, and Bharathi.
This meeting emphasized the government’s dedication to improving healthcare and ensuring quality medical services are accessible to everyone in the district.
