Nagarkurnool: On Saturday, Nellikonda Government Science Degree College hosted a vibrant mehendi event. Female students and women faculty eagerly participated, celebrating under the Women Empowerment Cell’s guidance.
College Principal Madan Mohan highlighted the importance of cultural events, saying they bring joy and create a festive mood, enhancing the bond between students and teachers.
Students gathered henna leaves from the campus and decorated their hands with intricate mehendi art, creating a lively scene.
Officials Umadevi and Vanitha from the Women Empowerment Cell discussed the benefits of mehendi. They explained that henna cools the body, boosts immunity, and improves circulation. They noted that applying henna in the Ashada month is a long-standing tradition for women.
The event promoted happiness and camaraderie among the participants. AO Mohammad Irfan, senior faculty Kodandaramulu, and others attended the celebration.
