Bharosa SI Veena Reddy urges reporting harassment without fear

An awareness event took place at the Nagarkurnool District Bus Stand focusing on the SHE Team and the POCSO Act. Bharosa Center SI Veena Reddy led the session on Saturday.

SI Veena Reddy highlighted the rise in harassment cases against women and children. She noted that many young girls face deception on platforms like Instagram, often under the pretense of friendship.

She encouraged students to prioritize their studies and come forward to report any harassment. She assured that all reports would remain confidential. Reddy also advised caution against accepting video calls or messages from strangers.

The SHE Team is actively working in important locations like bus stands and mandal centers to protect women and girls. Harassment incidents can be reported by calling 100 or 87126 57676.

Bharosa Center Coordinator Srilatha provided students with information about the POCSO Act. The event also saw participation from SHE Team member Venkataiah, Head Constable Srinivasulu Sharma from the Human Trafficking Division, Gopal, and others.
