Hyderabad: During the Ganesh festival, around 94,000 passengers used the Khairatabad metro station on Saturday. To handle the large crowd, the Hyderabad Metro Rail has decided to make special arrangements. These include running extra trains with more frequency.

On Sunday, a review meeting was held by the Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited’s managing director, NVS Reddy. The meeting focused on the special plans to manage the heavy rush during the festival.

Metro officials mentioned that over the past few weeks, there has been a significant increase in passengers, with more than five lakh people using the metro every day. To manage this, extra trains will be run during peak hours until the Ganesh idol immersions are over.
