Karimnagar: Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, presented a new bus to Karimnagar Medical College to help students travel more easily.
The bus was funded by donations and MP LADS funds. Students and faculty performed a traditional ritual with coconuts at the Karimnagar MP office on Monday. Bandi Sanjay Kumar took a short ride with the students in the new bus.
The government medical college operates in Kothapalli, but hostels are located in different areas. With girls in Teegalaguttapalli and boys in Sitarampur and Durgammagadda, students faced challenges reaching the college.
Students recently discussed these issues with Bandi Sanjay, who promised a new bus. During the handover, he asked about other problems at the college.
When students mentioned water issues, Bandi Sanjay promised to set up RO plants in the college and hostels. MLC Anji Reddy agreed to handle this task soon.
Students also reported power backup issues. Bandi Sanjay assured them that a generator would be provided soon. He also promised to relocate the college to a better building within a month, covering the costs himself.
Medical College students and staff were grateful for Bandi Sanjay’s support and generosity in addressing their concerns.
