Hyderabad witnessed a significant event on Wednesday as Minister D Sridhar Babu opened HCA Healthcare’s first Global Capability Centre (GCC) outside the U.S. This new facility is located in Raidurg.
HCA Healthcare, a top company in the Fortune 100 list, operates across the U.S. and U.K. It manages 190 hospitals and 2,400 care sites, employing over 316,000 people globally. With an impressive annual revenue of $70 billion, the company has now expanded to Telangana with its first overseas GCC.
The new Hyderabad centre spans 400,000 square feet and represents a $75 million (approximately Rs 620 crore) investment. By 2026, it aims to offer 3,000 jobs, with 1,200 roles already filled in various sectors like IT, supply chain, procurement, human resources, finance, and accounting.
Sridhar Babu highlighted that this investment showcases Hyderabad’s top-notch infrastructure and skilled workforce. He noted that the city is quickly becoming a global leader in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and life sciences. With world-class hospitals, over 800 pharmaceutical companies, and cutting-edge healthcare infrastructure, Hyderabad is well-positioned to provide cost-effective healthcare services at an international standard.
