    Heavy rainfall has been affecting the state, and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, the Minister for Revenue, Information, Public Relations, and Housing, has directed district officials to stay alert over the next five days. The minister emphasized the importance of being prepared to handle any challenges that may arise due to the ongoing rains.

    He also called for special meetings at the district level with intellectuals and senior citizens. These meetings are intended to gather opinions on the new Revenue Act. Additionally, the minister urged officials to quickly address any pending applications related to the Layout Regularization Scheme (LRS) and Dharani, a digital land records management system.

    On Tuesday, the Chief Secretary of Telangana, Shanti Kumari, held a video conference with district collectors from the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat in Hyderabad. During the meeting, Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy highlighted the likelihood of more rain over the next five days and stressed the need for district officials to remain vigilant. He urged them to take necessary precautions to prevent any loss of life or property.

    The minister also mentioned that officials should ensure that the public and school students do not face any difficulties during this period. He even suggested that schools could be closed if needed to ensure safety. Furthermore, he advised identifying low-lying areas and making proper arrangements to protect them from potential flooding.

    Lastly, the minister instructed that special district-level meetings be held on the 23rd or 24th of this month. These meetings should involve intellectuals, senior citizens, and senior officials to collect feedback on the newly proposed Revenue Act.
