Siddipet: Farmers to Receive Government Support in Any Crisis, Say Ministers
Ministers Tummala Nageswar Rao, Ponnam Prabhakar, and Konda Surekha have assured that the government will stand by farmers during tough times. They made this promise during the oath-taking ceremony of the Gajwel Agricultural Market Committee on Thursday. Vantaru Narender Reddy was sworn in as the committee’s chairman, while Mohammed Sardar Khan took the role of vice chairman. Other directors were also sworn in at the event.
After the ceremony, the ministers congratulated the new members. Tummala Nageswar Rao mentioned that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has given his word that the government will support farmers at all costs, even if it means making big sacrifices. The minister also shared that the government plans to complete a loan waiver of Rs 2 lakh for farmers soon. Additionally, the government will make sure to buy every grain from farmers at a price higher than the market rate to help them.
Minister Ponnam Prabhakar highlighted that the Congress government has always taken the best decisions for agriculture, not just in Telangana but across the country. He reassured farmers that they would receive full support in any difficult situation.
Prabhakar also noted that paddy crops are already arriving in the market. To avoid any problems for farmers, the government has set up procurement centres in advance.
During the event, Prabhakar also criticized the BRS and BJP, saying that despite their collaboration during the last Parliament elections, they failed to win any seats. He urged the public to vote against them in the upcoming local body elections.
Minister Konda Surekha accused the BRS of secretly working with the BJP to win the Medak MP elections. She criticized K T Rama Rao for spreading false information on social media. Surekha expressed disappointment that the opposition had not actively participated in the constituency or Assembly to offer valuable suggestions to the government.
