Bheemanna had just harvested chillies from his 3-acre farmland and packed them into bags, ready to sell at the market. After completing the work, he went home for lunch. However, when he returned an hour later, he was horrified to find the chilli bags engulfed in flames.

Despite immediate attempts to put out the fire, the damage was severe. Nearly 10 quintals of chillies were completely destroyed in the blaze, leaving the farmer devastated.
