The MLA was speaking as the chief guest at a cheque distribution event for the Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes in Nizamabad on Friday. These schemes aim to provide financial assistance to brides from poor and middle-class families to support their marriage expenses.

While appreciating the state government’s efforts to support these families, Dhanpal expressed disappointment over the unmet promise of additional gold. He said that many girls in Telangana had hoped for this assistance, but their expectations have turned into disappointment as the promise remains unfulfilled.
