Wanaparthy: Devarakadra MLA G Madhusudhan Reddy released fish seedlings into two water bodies in Kothakota mandal on Friday. The seedlings were introduced into Sarala Sagar and Shankara Samudram.
Reddy explained that 400,000 fish seedlings were released into Sarala Sagar, while 240,000 were added to Shankara Samudram. He also mentioned that a similar exercise will soon be carried out at Koil Sagar.
The MLA emphasized that the government is taking active steps to support the fishing community. By distributing fishlings, they aim to promote aquaculture in the region.
Although the distribution was delayed due to heavy rains, Reddy reassured fishermen that the fish would still grow well and provide them with good earnings.
