Modi arrives in Egypt following US visit.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has completed his State visit to the United States and has now arrived in Egypt. This is the first time an Indian Prime Minister has visited Egypt since 1997. He was welcomed by his counterpart in Cairo and will be meeting with Egypt President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to discuss ways to strengthen the partnership between India and Egypt.

During his visit, Modi will pay respects at the Heliopolis War Memorial, which honors the 3,799 Indian soldiers who lost their lives during World War I battles in Egypt. He will also tour the Al-Hakim mosque, a historic mosque that has been restored with the help of the Dawoodi Bohra community. Additionally, Modi will meet with members of the Indian community residing in Egypt.
