Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke about the Rath Yatra in Puri during his radio program. He said that the Yatra is celebrated with great enthusiasm in many states across India. The Yatra reflects the true spirit of Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat. Modi used to attend the Yatra in Ahmedabad when he was in Gujarat. He believes that the way people from all over the country, every society, and every class turn up in these Rath Yatras is exemplary. The Prime Minister wished people a happy and prosperous Rath Yatra.
Modi also talked about festivals related to Indian tradition and culture. He mentioned that Raj Bhawans are now identified with social and development work. Raj Bhawans celebrate their foundation days with enthusiasm. This is a wonderful initiative that empowers the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat’.
