YSRCP MP Avinash Reddy did not appear for questioning by the CBI in his uncle’s murder case. He cited his mother’s illness as the reason for his absence. This is the second time this week that he skipped the interrogation and the CBI issued a notice for him to appear on May 22. Avinash Reddy’s father has been arrested in the case, and the CBI alleges that Avinash Reddy, his father, and a follower conspired to murder his uncle because he opposed Avinash Reddy’s candidacy. Avinash Reddy denies the allegations. The Supreme Court has extended the deadline for completing the investigation until June 30.
