A man named K Shivaji tried to rob a bank in Hyderabad using a fake bomb. He wore a jacket and covered his face with a handkerchief. Shivaji threatened the staff and customers by showing the fake bomb, which he made at home using sugar cane pieces, red tape and wires. He demanded cash from the counters or else threatened to blow up the bomb. The bank security caught him and handed him over to the police.
During the investigation, Shivaji confessed that he needed money urgently, which is why he decided to threaten the bank employees using the fake bomb and extort money. He got the idea after watching videos on YouTube on how to make a fake bomb. A case has been registered and thorough investigation is underway.
