Chennai Super Kings secured their place in the IPL 2023 playoffs by defeating Delhi Capitals. MS Dhoni, the captain of Chennai Super Kings, praised Tushar Deshpande for his growth as a player and his confidence in death bowling. Deshpande took over the responsibility of bowling after other players were ruled out due to injury, and he impressed everyone with his performance. He is currently CSK’s top wicket-taker in the ongoing season with 20 wickets from 14 games.

Dhoni emphasized the importance of grooming young players for the future and said that there is no recipe for success. He also credited the management for always backing the team. Delhi Capitals ended the campaign with 10 points and will have to wait till Sunday to find out if they ended last or second last depending on Sunrisers Hyderabad’s result.
