Several towns across India have been hit by violence in recent days, including Sasaram and Bihar Sharif in Bihar, Howrah in West Bengal, Sonipat in Haryana, Auranagabad and Malad in Maharashtra, and Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. In response to the unrest, police have been conducting flag marches to reassure citizens and maintain order.

The violence in Sasaram on Ram Navami led to the cancellation of Home Minister Amit Shah’s tour. Meanwhile, in Howrah, police have been using drone surveillance to monitor the situation following communal tensions. A heavy police presence has been deployed in Shibpur, a particularly affected area in Howrah, and the situation there is now under control.
