This led higher authorities to take action, ordering an inquiry and issuing memos to three staff members who were on duty at that time.

Dr. Santosh Abhiram, the Medical Officer of the PP Unit, confirmed that the memos were given to staff who had arrived an hour and a half late on Wednesday morning. He assured that steps have been taken to make sure such issues do not happen again in the future.
