Hanumakonda, Telangana – The Congress Party continues to gain strong support from people across India, said Vardhannapet MLA K.R. Nagaraju during a key party meeting on Saturday.
The gathering took place at CSR Garden on Hunter Road, where Nagaraju led a discussion focused on strengthening the party’s structure and leadership in the region.
Speaking to party members, Nagaraju emphasized that dedicated workers are the backbone of the Congress. He said the party can only succeed when its members are strong and united. Leaders, he added, must stay in touch with the public and not just appear during elections. “People support leaders they trust and see often,” he said.
Nagaraju promised that in the Vardhannapet constituency, all opportunities would go to true Congress workers. “We will follow the PCC guidelines 100%. Those who work hard for the party will be the ones who rise,” he stated.
He criticized the current method of appointing leaders from the top down. Instead, he called for building leadership from the village level upward, allowing honest and capable individuals to emerge. He insisted that local meetings should decide leadership roles based on merit, not on recommendations or influence.
Nagaraju also proposed creating clear rules for forming committees and demanded that these rules be followed strictly to ensure transparency and fairness.
The meeting was led by Warangal District Congress President Errabelli Swarna-Varada Rajeshwar Rao. Several important figures attended, including MP Kadiyam Kavya, Warangal West MLA and Hanumakonda District Congress President Naini Rajender Reddy, and TSCAB Chairman Marneni Ravinder Rao.
Other participants included AICC member Anil Kumar, PCC leaders like Srinivas, and AICC Youth Congress leader Sagarika Rao, along with many local Congress workers and supporters from the area.
The event aimed to energize the party’s grassroots workers and lay a strong foundation for future organizational growth.
