The BJP party disciplinary committee Chairman Nagu Rao Namaji criticized the Telangana farmers for falling for false promises made by others. He spoke at a Rythu Deeksha in Gadwal DK Bangla and took aim at the Congress party for not fulfilling promises made to farmers.

Namaji accused the Congress government of cheating farmers with promises like 15000 per Acre Rythu Bandhu, 500 rupees bonus per quintal on paddy crop, crop loan waiver up to 2 lakh rupees, and Kalyana Lakshmi scheme. He claimed that the government was more focused on politics than addressing the problems faced by farmers, leading to drought conditions in the state.
