The BJP party disciplinary committee Chairman Nagu Rao Namaji criticized the Telangana farmers for falling for false promises made by others. He spoke at a Rythu Deeksha in Gadwal DK Bangla and took aim at the Congress party for not fulfilling promises made to farmers.

Namaji accused the Congress government of cheating farmers with promises like 15000 per Acre Rythu Bandhu, 500 rupees bonus per quintal on paddy crop, crop loan waiver up to 2 lakh rupees, and Kalyana Lakshmi scheme. He claimed that the government was more focused on politics than addressing the problems faced by farmers, leading to drought conditions in the state.

The Chairman demanded 25000 rupees compensation for farmers who lost crops due to drought, as well as the immediate implementation of the promised 2 lakh loan waiver. He warned that if the government did not address farmer’s issues, large protests would be held across the state.

In attendance at the event were BJP district president Rama Chandra Reddy, Baligera Shiva Reddy, Assembly convener Ramanjaneyulu, District women morcha president Krishna Veni, Councillor Rajaka Jayashree, women morcha Swapna, Muslim morcha Isak, and other BJP party leaders and members.
