Warangal West MLA Naini Rajender Reddy criticized former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for not doing anything for Warangal during his ten-year rule. He said that KCR had promised to develop Warangal like Dallas but did not even address basic issues like underground drainage. The BRS government did not create a Master Plan for the city’s development, Naini added.
Despite promises from the then MA&UD Minister K T Rama Rao to address flooding in colonies, the issue remained unresolved. Congress Government took immediate action to tackle the flood problem when they came to power, Naini said. Congress’ Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Graduates Constituency candidate Teenmar Mallanna accused KCR of betraying the people who supported the Telangana Movement. Mallanna also claimed that KCR allowed Aroori Ramesh to contest on a BJP ticket as part of an agreement with the saffron party.
Mallanna further alleged that the BJP was removing reservations for minorities and planning to abolish the Indian Constitution. Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiyam Srihari criticized KCR for facing corruption allegations and ruling the state like a dictator. Several other senior leaders were present at the event, including Kuchana Ravali, B Srinivas Rao, E Srinivas Rao, Md Azeez Khan, Thota Venkateshwarlu, Chikati Sharada Anand, Nekkonda Kalpana Kishan Kumar, Jakkula Ravinder Yadav, Manasa Ramprasad, Gunti Srinivas, and Mamindla Raju.
