Text Size: 100%

Former Municipal Minister P Narayana received a major setback as the Andhra Pradesh High Court denied his anticipatory bail in the Amaravati Inner Ring Road (IRR) scam case. The court also rejected the anticipatory bail petitions of Narayana’s wife P Ramadevi, brother-in-law Sambasiva Rao, and ‘benami’ Prameela.

The case was filed by the AP CID based on a complaint made by YSRCP MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy in 2022. Reddy accused Nara Lokesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, and P Narayana of creating the Master Plan for the proposed Andhra Pradesh capital and aligning the IRR to benefit specific individuals and companies.
