CPI national secretary Dr K Narayana accused Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy of plotting to help Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao win by causing a scene at Nagarjuna Sagar Dam. Narayana claimed that Jagan Mohan Reddy had neglected the interests of his own state and only remembered the water issue after many years. The AP police have increased security at the dam and fenced off the area. State police have also been deployed to the dam site. IGP level officers from both states will visit the dam on Sunday to assess the situation. The AP government has released 400 cusecs of water from the dam with police protection.
