The Telangana Government has appointed Narotham Yerpula as the chairman of the Telangana State Scheduled Caste Cooperative Development Corporation (TSSCCDC). This appointment was announced on Friday through a government order (GO). Narotham’s term will last for two years.
Narotham Yerpula is an engineer turned politician from the Zaheerabad constituency in Sangareddy district. He previously ran for office in 2009 and 2014 under the TDP ticket but was unsuccessful. In 2019, he joined the Congress party. Narotham played an active role in advocating for a revenue division for Zaheerabad that involved all sections of the community. He recently joined the BRS on July 6, 2023.
