Members of the National ST Commission visited the site of a tragic incident involving Chenchu Mahila Eswaramma in Molachinthalapalli village. They also went to see Eswaramma at Nagar Kurnool Government Hospital with the District Collector.
During the visit, they inquired about Eswaramma’s medical treatment and suggested she be taken to Hyderabad Nims Hospital for better care. They offered financial assistance of 6 lakh rupees to her family, a government job for one family member, and education for the children in residential schools.
The officials also instructed revenue authorities to transfer the agricultural land and house documents given to Eswaramma’s family 25 years ago into their name. They emphasized the importance of providing land and houses to all adivasis and ensuring timely distribution of pensions and government welfare benefits.
The National Adivasi Commission vowed not to ignore such brutal attacks, as they were joined by local political leaders and officials during their visit.
