V. Naveen Yadav, a Congress candidate for Jubilee Hills, filed his nomination papers on Friday. The event coincided with Telangana’s lively festivals, Bathukamma and Bonala, attracting a large crowd. Women artists performed traditional dances, and the Koya tribe played their drums, adding to the festive mood.
A grand procession started at the Yusufguda check post and passed through Srinagar Colony before reaching the Sheikhpet Tahsildar’s office. Here, Yadav submitted two nomination sets before Election Returning Officer P. Sairam.
Several notable figures accompanied him. Senior leader V. Hanumantha Rao, ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Vivek, Greater Hyderabad Mayor Gadwala Vijayalakshmi, and Congress leader Habiba Sultana were present. Former MP Mohammed Azharuddin, Rajya Sabha member Anil Kumar Yadav, Library Chairman Riyaz, and corporators C.N. Reddy and Sangeetha Yadav also attended.
The event wrapped up with Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi joining, offering his blessings to Naveen Yadav and boosting the rally’s energy.
