The NCC inauguration at Rockwoods International School in Hyderabad took place on Wednesday with much fanfare. Notable attendees included Lieutenant Colonel K. S. Pandiyan, the Officiating Commanding Officer of the 1 (T) BN NCC, along with School Chairman Raman Naidu, CEO Subrahmanyam, and Principal Divya Sharma.
Lieutenant Colonel Pandiyan began the ceremony by lighting a ceremonial lamp and raising the NCC flag. He then inspected the guard of honor. During his speech, he highlighted the role of the NCC in teaching students patriotism, leadership, and discipline.
He urged the cadets to remember that “today’s students are tomorrow’s responsible citizens of India” and encouraged them to become confident and dedicated individuals.
