Telangana’s official anthem ‘Jaya Jayahe Telangana’ was revealed at the state’s formation day celebrations on Sunday. The song, written by Telangana poet Ande Sri and composed by MM Keeravani, was released by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

The official version of the song was the main highlight of the formation day celebrations. The Chief Minister, his Cabinet colleagues, and other officials stood up as the song was played. Both Ande Sri and Keeravani were present at the ceremony, with the poet becoming emotional as the song played.

The song was adopted as the state’s official anthem after Congress came to power in December 2023. The Chief Minister had meetings with Ande Sri and Keeravani to finalize the composition of the song. Two versions of ‘Jaya Jayahe Telangana’ were approved at a meeting on May 30, a 2.30-minute version and a full 13.30-minute version.
