Hyderabad: Tragically, a young woman lost her life in a road accident on Thursday night, May 14, in Hyderabad.
The incident occurred near Chandrayangutta when a fast-moving lorry collided with a scooter.
The accident happened on the Chandrayangutta-Bandlaguda road as the woman was returning home with her husband from a wedding celebration.
The victim, identified as 25-year-old Fatima from Noori Nagar in Bandlaguda, had married only three months ago.
According to the police, the couple was riding an Activa scooter with two children from their relatives. As they attempted a U-turn, a tipper lorry struck their scooter from behind.
Fatima suffered severe injuries and died instantly after reportedly falling under the lorry’s wheels. Her husband and the two children were unharmed.
The lorry driver fled the scene immediately after the crash.
Upon receiving the report, Bandlaguda police arrived at the scene and transported the body for a postmortem.
A case has been filed, and investigations are ongoing.
