NTPC’s New Power Unit Increases Telangana’s Power Capacity

NTPC recently started a new power unit in Telangana, adding 800 MW to its total capacity. This brings the company’s commercial generation capacity to 74,758 MW.

The announcement was made on Thursday, with NTPC stating that Unit 2 of the Telangana Super Thermal Power Project is now operational. This marks a significant milestone for the company.

With the addition of Unit 2, NTPC’s standalone installed capacity now stands at 58,638 MW. The company’s commercial capacity in the group category has also increased to 74,758 MW.
