The district administration in Rangareddy district has released a revised electoral roll, showing an increase of over 2.5 lakh voters in the last four months. The previous list released in October last year had a total of 33,56,056 voters, while the new list shows a total of 35,91,987 voters in the district. This means there has been an increase of 2,35,931 voters since October.
Four out of eight Assembly constituencies in the district have seen a significant increase in voter numbers. Serilingampally constituency has seen the highest increase, with nearly 50,000 more voters added to the list. The number of electors in Serilingampally has reached 7,47,757, compared to 6,98,154 in October.
Rajendra Nagar constituency, known for bogus voting and discrepancies in the voter list, saw an increase of 47,243 voters during the same period. The total number of voters in Rajendra Nagar is now 5,99,778. LB Nagar constituency saw an increase of 33,676 voters, bringing the total to 6,00,552. Maheshwaram constituency also saw an increase of 38,734 voters, with a total of 5,56,110 voters.
In Ibrahimpatnam constituency, there were 3,10,756 voters in October, but the revised list shows an increase of 26,378 voters, bringing the total to 3,37,134. The remaining constituencies in Rangareddy district saw an increase of 10-15 thousand voters each.
Overall, the revised voter list in Rangareddy district shows a significant increase in the number of voters compared to October last year.
