Wanaparthy District: On Wednesday evening, the District Collector organized a meeting with Returning Officers at the Additional Collector Local Bodies Chamber. This meeting focused on receiving nominations for the first phase of MPTC and ZPTC elections.
The Collector instructed the officers to release the election notification by 10 am on Thursday. He emphasized that candidates should double-check their nomination papers before submission. Only two additional Returning Officers should accompany each candidate into the nomination room.
If candidates lack required documents, they should receive a notice with a deadline instead of facing immediate rejection. Every Returning Officer must possess the electoral roll for their constituency. The Collector urged thorough examination of all nominations. He stressed that officers must remain impartial and adhere to Election Commission rules during the process.
Additional Collector Local Bodies Yadayya, RDO Subrahmanyam, and other officials attended the meeting.
