Rangareddy district is taking steps to ensure fair distribution of Indiramma houses to families in need. The district plans to form special teams at the mandal level to thoroughly review applications before approving houses.
District Collector C Narayan Reddy instructed officials to create these teams to address pending housing applications under the Indiramma scheme. During a video conference, he emphasized the need to approve places where applicants own land for building houses. The construction should be swift to benefit the recipients promptly.
The Collector also highlighted the importance of raising awareness about other welfare programs like the PM Awas Yojana. He noted that applicants who previously took loans can still qualify for the current scheme.
Additionally, the Collector urged Agricultural officers to maintain sufficient urea supplies in mandal godowns during the rainy season to support farmers. He also stressed the need to improve sanitation in government schools and hostels. Ensuring the quality of food and drinking water for students is essential. He recommended that fresh vegetables be delivered every two days to avoid long storage.
