A clash between two groups in Rajaram of Mallial mandal resulted in the death of a youngster on Sunday night, amidst the screening of the ‘Balagam’ movie in Jagatial. According to the police, a few youngsters who were allegedly under the influence of alcohol picked up an argument with each other while the villagers were watching a public screening of the Telugu movie. The argument turned serious as the rival groups, Shivaratri Naresh and Bhagyaraj, attacked Gurram Praveen and Venkatesh with iron rods.

The villagers claimed that Praveen died on the spot, while Venkatesh was shifted to Jagtial hospital with serious injuries. The Mallial police have registered a case and initiated a probe into the matter. Praveen’s body has been shifted to the Jagtial government hospital for autopsy.
