A video has gone viral showing a woman football player practicing kicking a ball towards the goalpost. While she turns her face away to talk to another player, the ball hits the bar of the goalpost and ricochets, hitting her on the head from behind. It is never a good sight to see someone getting injured, which is why it is important to wear safety gear and protective shields while on the field for a live game or practice. This applies to all sports, as players take precautions such as wearing pads, gloves, abdominal guards, and helmets in cricket, and similar protective gear in field hockey. Although football is a fast game with less need for shields, injuries can still occur. It is always better to be safe than sorry.
