The Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, G Kishan Reddy, criticized Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, his family, and BRS ministers for claiming to save the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. Reddy said that the BRS ministers are making false statements about sending a team from Singareni Collieries Company Ltd to buy the VSP, while the company itself is facing financial problems. He also pointed out that the State government has failed to pay the thousands of crores it owes to SCCL.

Reddy believes that BRS leaders are only using the VSP issue to criticize the Centre, and reminded the CM that he was voted to govern Telangana, not to criticize the Centre. He accused KCR of neglecting his duty as CM and only pursuing a single agenda of criticizing the Centre.

Reddy also criticized BRS for failing to reopen the Nizam Sugar Factory, despite promising to do so within 100 days of coming to power. He said that KCR has no right to talk about VSP when he has failed to establish a steel plant in Bayyaram, as promised in his election manifesto.

Reddy also highlighted the State government’s failure to provide subsidies owed to small and medium industries and SCs, STs, and others. He believes that the CM and BRS are only boasting about saving VSP to divert attention from their failures.

Finally, Reddy addressed AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi’s criticism of BJP’s moral standing, claiming that AIMIM is responsible for forcing thousands of people in Old City slums to flee. He asked Owaisi not to lecture BJP on law and order.
