Hyderabad: The ruling Congress has accused the Opposition parties of being unable to accept that the current government is making quick decisions to develop the state and solve unemployment issues. They questioned what the BRS and BJP have done in the past 10 years to attract investment to the state.
Congress highlighted that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is focused on development and that his US tour is bringing in a lot of investment. Sama Rammohan Reddy, the PCC media committee chairman, asked if former CM K Chandrasekhar Rao ever took such responsibility for Telangana.
Rammohan claimed that crores of rupees were siphoned off by the BRS government through fraudulent means, pushing the state into debt. He said that now the Congress government is working hard to clear this debt and set the state on a path of progress, which BRS leaders cannot accept. He questioned if KCR ever took a tour to attract investments for the state.
The Congress leader also addressed allegations made by Union Minister of State Bandi Sanjay Kumar. He questioned what BJP leaders, including Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, have done for Telangana despite their party being in power at the Centre for a third consecutive term. He reminded that Bandi Sanjay was removed as State president amid allegations of making money through a padayatra. “Now he is pointing fingers at the progressive initiatives made by our Chief Minister,” Rammohan added.
