Hyderabad: Osmania University will hold its 84th Annual Convocation on Tuesday. Jishnu Dev Varma, Governor of Telangana and Chancellor of the university, will lead the event. Dr. V. Narayanan, the Chairman of ISRO, will give the main speech. He will also receive an honorary Doctor of Science degree for his significant achievements in space science.
The university announced that the event will start with an academic procession, followed by the national anthem. The convocation will officially begin with the Chancellor administering the academic oath and signing the register. Prof. Kumar Molugaram, the Vice-Chancellor, will share the university’s annual report, covering important accomplishments from the past year.
A student from the Scheduled Tribe community in the Department of English will present a thesis, highlighting the university’s dedication to diversity and academic excellence. Outstanding students from various fields will receive gold medals and Ph.D. degrees. The prestigious Telangana Governor’s Gold Medal will be awarded to the top Ph.D. student. The ceremony will end with the national anthem and the procession’s formal exit.
