    Former PM Manmohan Singh Remembered at Osmania University

    Hyderabad: Osmania University officials recently paid tribute to former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, recalling his visit as the chief guest at their convocation ceremony in 1996. At that time, Dr. Singh was serving as India’s finance minister.

    During the 1996 event, Dr. Singh’s exceptional academic achievements and his expertise in economic policy were celebrated. His speech at the convocation highlighted his deep passion for economics and education. He emphasized the important role universities play in shaping the future of a nation.

    The Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University, Professor Kumar Molugaram, led the remembrance event on Friday. He praised Dr. Singh’s significant contributions to India’s economic growth, both as a finance minister and later as the country’s prime minister.
