28,456 nominations have been submitted for municipal elections in 124 Urban Local Bodies. The deadline to file these nominations was on Friday.
The State Election Commission reported that nearly 20,000 nominations were filed just on the last day. In the first two days, over 8,000 nominations were submitted.
Nominations will be reviewed on January 31. Candidates can withdraw by February 3. The final candidate list will also be released that day.
Voting will occur on February 11 from 7 am to 5 pm.
