AIMIM leader and MP Asaduddin Owaisi accused the BJP and RSS of spreading fake news about Gnanavapi Masjid. He expressed concern that these campaigns could lead to a situation similar to the events of ‘December 6’. Owaisi made these remarks during a media conference held at MIM’s central office in Hyderabad.
Owaisi clarified that he respects the court verdict regarding Gnanavapi Masjid. However, he pointed out that the ongoing survey by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) in the mosque premises and the subsequent report could potentially incite violence similar to the Babri Masjid riots. He emphasized the importance of preventing Gnanavapi from turning into another Babri Masjid.
