A 25-year-old student from Hyderabad has been missing in America since March 7. Abdul, who is pursuing his master’s degree in IT at Cleveland’s, has not been seen since that day. His family members in Hyderabad received a phone call from kidnappers, demanding $1,200 for his safe release. The gang threatened to sell Abdul’s kidney if the amount was not paid.

Abdul’s relatives and friends in America filed a complaint with the Cleveland police on March 8. Ahmad’s father, Salim, received the threatening call from the kidnappers a week after his son went missing. The family approached the Indian consulate in Chicago on March 18 for help in locating Abdul.
