Six-hour power shutdown for maintenance at Krishna Phase pumping stations; 18 divisions affected
Hyderabad, November 24, 2025 – Several areas across Hyderabad will experience partial disruption in drinking water supply on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, due to scheduled maintenance work at pumping stations.
Reason for Disruption
TG Transco will suspend electricity supply for six hours from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on November 26 to the 132 KV substations at Naserlapalli water board pumping stations that supply power to Krishna Phase-1, 2 & 3 pumping stations.
The power shutdown is necessary for:
- Maintenance of bulk feeders that provide uninterrupted power supply
- Replacement of damaged Current Transformers (CTs) with new ones
Affected Areas
The following 18 O&M (Operations & Maintenance) divisions will experience partial water supply disruption:
- O&M Division No. 1: Charminar
- O&M Division No. 2: Vinay Nagar
- O&M Division No. 3: Boggulkunta
- O&M Division No. 4: Red Hills
- O&M Division No. 5: Narayanguda
- O&M Division No. 6: SR Nagar
- O&M Division No. 7: Maredpally
- O&M Division No. 8: Riyasatnagar
- O&M Division No. 9: Kukatpally
- O&M Division No. 10: Sahebnagar
- O&M Division No. 11: Hayathnagar
- O&M Division No. 13: Sainikpuri
- O&M Division No. 14: Uppal
- O&M Division No. 15: Hafizpet
- O&M Division No. 16: Rajendranagar
- O&M Division No. 18: Manikonda
- O&M Division No. 19: Boduppal
- O&M Division No. 20: Meerr Pet
Advisory to Consumers
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has requested consumers in the affected areas to use water judiciously and conservatively during the disruption period.
Residents are advised to:
- Store sufficient water for the day before November 26
- Use water sparingly during the disruption period
- Expect gradual restoration of normal supply after 4:00 PM
Normal Supply to Resume
Water supply is expected to gradually return to normal after the completion of maintenance work at 4:00 PM on November 26. However, it may take a few additional hours for supply to be fully restored across all affected areas.
