Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka’s ‘Face-to-Face’ Program Receives Strong Response
The Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, conducted a ‘face-to-face with people’ program on Thursday, which saw a significant turnout. Citizens and party members participated enthusiastically, voicing their concerns and grievances.
Hundreds of people, including representatives from groups such as teachers, employees, and students, approached Bhatti to share their issues. Many sought housing under the Indiramma Indlu scheme. Interestingly, some Congress party leaders also used the opportunity to discuss internal party matters. Around 50 members from the Patancheru constituency complained about disputes with a rival faction within the party.
Speaking to the media afterward, the Deputy CM highlighted the Congress government’s commitment to resolving public issues through participatory governance. He contrasted this with the previous BRS government, which he accused of governing from luxurious palaces. Bhatti praised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and his cabinet for their hands-on approach, stating they were working directly among the people.
Bhatti also defended the government’s decision to conduct a caste census, calling it a historic step. He criticized those spreading misinformation about the initiative, claiming it would end the exploitation of marginalized groups. “Once the survey is completed, it will pave the way for a more equal society, breaking away from feudal structures,” he said.
The Deputy CM also emphasized the need for empowering women, who make up half of the population. He announced plans to provide Rs 1 lakh crore in interest-free loans over five years to support women entrepreneurs. Agreements with women’s self-help groups to generate 1,000 MW of solar power were also highlighted, along with proposals to lease RTC buses to women’s groups. These measures, he said, aim to promote economic inclusivity and create new opportunities for women.
