    Good friends should always encourage each other to stay away from drugs, said actress Kriti Shetty during the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking event organized by the Telangana State Anti-Narcotics Bureau, Divyangs, Senior Citizens, and Transgender Rights Departments. The three-day program, aimed at creating awareness about the misuse of drugs and the consequences of illegal trafficking, started on Monday at Shourya Convention in Yusufguda. Kriti Shetty spoke about the importance of friends helping each other to stay away from drugs. She emphasized that with their support, it becomes easier to resist the temptations and avoid harmful substances. The Telangana State Anti-Narcotics Bureau was praised for its efforts to eliminate drug substances. The event also saw the unveiling of the “Say No to Drugs” poster and book.

    Speaking as the chief guest, Home Minister Mahmood Ali said that for the future of the state, there should be no place for drugs. He stressed the importance of raising awareness about the misuse of drugs. He urged everyone to take an oath to keep themselves and their families away from drugs for the betterment of the country. Prior to this, a painting competition and various programs were organized involving students and youth to promote awareness against drugs. Commissioner Anjani Kumar praised actress Kriti Shetty for her dedication to acting in multiple languages at a young age. He said that with focus and talent, anything is possible. He appreciated her for being a role model and spreading awareness about the negative effects of drugs.

    The program also witnessed the presence of various dignitaries and officials including Deputy Commissioner of Police Joel Davis, Director Shailaja, Special DCP Suni T, Chakravarti Gummi, and Bharathi Holikeri. Additional DCPs Sanjay Kumar Jain, Mahesh Bhagwat, Abhilash Bist, IJs Kamalasan Reddy, Shanavas Khaseem, and Tarun Joshi were also present. The police officials who recently received promotions expressed their commitment to effectively resolve the issues related to drug abuse and fulfill their responsibilities. They emphasized the need to address the underlying problems that lead to drug abuse. The program aimed to inspire youth and students to stay away from drugs and to encourage others to do the same.
